Frequently Asked Questions

See the sections below for specific topics regarding Sunshine House Daycare. Still have questions? Give us a call!

Application & Enrollment

"Does my child have to be accepted to attend your program?"

Sunshine House Daycare offers open enrollment, meaning as long as we have the means to accommodate your child, they will have a spot! The application is just to gain necessary info required for them to attend - we don't give approvals or disapprovals based on the application!

"How do I know if you have an open spot for my child?"

Calling us is the easiest way to get this information. If any classroom becomes full, we keep a waiting list to notify families of openings on a first come first serve basis. The process to getting on the waiting list is the same as enrolling.

“We're ready to enroll. Where do we get started?”
Our enrollment process is quick and easy! Simply come in to our office and request an application. Once you've filled out the application, return it, meet with the director, and schedule your child’s start date!

Cost & Payment

"How much will it cost for my child to attend Sunshine House Daycare?"

Our tuition is based on the age and classroom of the child and is listed below:

Infant (6 weeks - 18 months): $140/week

Toddler (18 months - 36 months): $130/week

"Do you accept childcare vouchers?"

YES! We’ve been a part of the CCDF school-readiness assistance "voucher" program for years & are happy to accept this form of payment. We can even help you with the application process!

"What are your accepted forms of payment?"

Families are welcome to pay in a variety of methods including invoice (preferred), cash, or check. CCDF payments will come directly to the daycare.

About Sunshine House Daycare

“What kind of activities will my child be doing in support of their learning?”
Our teachers love to get creative & plan so many fun activities in and out of the classroom! Some kid favorites include shaving cream painting, sprinkler play, sensory slime, and summer field trips. All children’s activities are planned to developmentally appropriate standards. Weekly lesson plans are posted in each classroom and electronic child portfolios are managed by teachers for easy family access.

“Why should I trust Sunshine House?”
We get it. Trusting us with your most valuable asset is a big ask. We’re happy to say that we operate by the minimum licensing requirements outlined by the state of Arkansas. This includes things like health, staff training, background checks, playground safety, and much more. Not only do we meet the minimum requirements, but we’re also recognized as a quality program by Arkansas Better Beginnings.
